About John

John was born and raised in Lancaster Pa.  In High School he completed the three-year course in Carpentry at Willow Street Vo-Tech.  After several months of on-the-job training in Carpentry, John enlisted in the US Marine Corp.  Upon serving 10 years of active Military Duty, he was Honorably Discharged and returned home.  Eventually, he found his way back into the Construction Industry.  He framed houses for a short time but found it to be a bit boring.  Another type of employment guided him to remodeling work.  This was more interesting, challenging, and enjoyable.  Remodeling work eventually guided him to finish Carpentry, and this is where he found his niche.  The Marine Corp conditioned him to be detailed oriented, and to settle for nothing less than perfection.  “Zero discrepancies” is their motto and is one attribute embedded in him still today.  Remodeling Kitchen specifically, is now his best talent.  He has been specializing in Kitchen and Bathroom remodeling since 1990.  Along the way, John acquired additional trade skills as well, such as plumbing, electric and others.  In the year 1997, John stepped out on his own and became self-employed.  For several years, he acquired work on his own and also supported a few businesses as an Installer, including both Lowes and Home Depot.  In 2003, he opened his own Kitchen & Bathroom business in Lancaster, complete with Showroom, Designers, and Installers.  Unfortunately, the economic recession of 2008 took too much of a toll on his business, and he had to close it permanently.  From that date to the present, John has remained self-employed and continues to specialize in Kitchen and Bathroom remodeling.  John can do and prefers to do the entire remodel on his own.  He does not prefer to sub-contract portions of the job to others.  When John remodels your Kitchen, you work with him directly from beginning to end.  There is literally hundreds of very satisfied customers John has worked with over the years.  Many of which have offered to speak on his behalf as a source of reference if need be.
